1) What will we do?

- Become a certified Design Thinker from riidl Somaiya Vidyavihar.
2) What will we have ready at the end of the workshop?
- Prototype of the solution for the problem statement selected during the workshop
- Visual journey of the entire Design Thinking process
- Ready to take on any challenges and solve it with super powers of Design Thinking
Expectations from the participants:
- Bring in the enthusiasm and curiosity.
- Spend 30 hours with the instructor in person to learn and practice design thinking tools
- Spend guided 15 hours outside the classroom on research and exploration
Process:
Participants will be working in teams and they will go through the three steps of Design thinking.
-Inspiration, Ideation and Implementation. Final prototype and visual map of the design thinking process will be mark the completion of the workshop.
About
We want to empower students with Design skills to address real world problems, by integrating social and humanistic inquiry into a Technology and Entrepreneurship based curriculum.
Our Design Thinking wing conducts several workshops on ideation, innovation, entrepreneurship and Design Thinking for faculty and students across campuses to propel sustainable innovation. Finding the right problems to solve where one's beliefs and skills lie can be tricky. There is no formula, but there are effective tools, which can bring some method to this madness. We make students undertake several activities through which various nuances of Design Thinking can be understood.
Design thinking is known popularly as a process that adopts a human centered approach to problem solving. It is about looking at problems in new ways to uncover hidden insights and facts that brings clarity and inspires innovative and unexpected solutions.
We want to invite people with the drive and courage to challenge assumptions and establishments to build solutions for the problems of the people and the planet. We want to shift the focus from the human centric to ecocentric design thinking process that builds solutions that make human life better but also is respectful of all stakeholders of our world and environment and takes into account the repercussions of our innovation on the whole. We want to move towards Safer, Healthier and fairer Innovation.
We are inspired by IDEO Design Thinking. Riidl Design Thinking coordinator - Hetal Mundra is certified by IDEO for courses on Design Thinking.

It was a great experience attending the " ideation workshop " organised by Hetal ma'am. Being a fresher to real life, I had very little knowledge about start ups.
